We will be staying at Art of Animation in a standard Little Mermaid room for princess half marathon weekend. What are the window and door dimensions for those rooms? I’m working on a fun decor plan but I want to make sure it will fit. Thank you!

    Hi Shawna,

I love that you are planning to make your already magical runDisney weekend even more special with custom room decorations! I always love seeing my fellow guests' creativity as I walk past their door and window displays. Let's see if I can help ensure your design fits as perfectly as Cinderella's glass slipper.

I reached out to Guest Services and after a little digging, I was able to uncover some information on some of the similar Value Resort rooms. At Disney's Pop Century Resort, the doors are 79.5 inches tall and about 34.75 inches wide. The Cast Member I spoke with said The Little Mermaid Standard Rooms at Disney's Art of Animation Resort should have these same dimensions, although he couldn't give me a 100% guarantee. It appears that the windows for rooms at the other Value Resorts are just about 36 inches wide x 60 inches tall, so I'm hopeful it's the same for your Little Mermaid themed-room.

I hope that helps you unleash your inner artist to create a fantastic display. Whether you're going with a Princess theme or are inspired by  Ariel's world under the sea, I'm sure your vision will be practically perfect in every way. Just be sure not to make any modifications to the room, and take extra care not to damage the paint as you hang or remove your creations. I find that suction cups work beautifully for window displays and leave behind no adhesive residue.

Shawna, I'm wishing you a wonderful stay at Disney's Art of Animation Resort. It's one of my favorites on Walt Disney World Resort property. Be sure to take a dip in Nemo's Big Blue Pool, and enjoy the scenic views from Disney Skyliner. When it's time for you to head to the starting line for your upcoming runDisney event I know you'll be ready to chase the wind and touch the sky. There's just no telling how far you'll go!

    Every mile is magic,
    Amy
