I am going to be staying at the Art of Animation Resort in September with my 2 year old daughter...is it possible to get a crib for her to sleep in? I mean a real crib, not a pack and play.

Hi, Laura! I can certainly understand that you want to make sure your little princess stays snug as a bug in a rug while sleeping. There are a very limited number of cribs available for Guests of Walt Disney World Resort hotels. You can call the Walt Disney World Resort reservations line and request that a crib be added to your reservation. Please note that this is only a request and it cannot be guaranteed. If you do not get a chance to reserve one beforehand, you can request one at check-in, but they may not be available at that point.

We have been traveling to Walt Disney World Resort since our younger daughter was 16 months old. At that age, she did not sleep well in a Pack 'n Play and I did not want to take any chances with her (and our!) precious sleep. Through research, I found a few Orlando- area rental companies not associated with Disney Parks. We rented a full-size crib from one of them, A Baby's Best Friend. We have had several great experiences with this company over the years, and I have heard many great reports from friends about several other companies in the Orlando area that will deliver baby gear to Disney Resorts. If by chance you are not able to get all of the gear you need from the Resort when you check-in, know that there are other options out there so your little ones (and you!) can get the rest you need.

I hope this helps you plan your upcoming vacation, Laura. Please stop by again if you think of any other questions for us!
