We are staying at the Art of Animation resort on October 31st Halloween!! We arrive on the 31st. We are not going to any of the parks. Is there any trick or treating at the resort? Or any Halloween activities going on that day?

Hi there, Tanya! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks so much for taking the time to reach out and ask your Walt Disney World Resort vacation question!

Autumn at Walt Disney World Resort is a spooky good time for all Guests brave enough to visit! That being said, the not-so-scary nature of these offerings means the whole family can enjoy without any fear. Even if you do not intend on visiting the parks on your day of arrival, there will be more than enough to keep you entertained at the unique celebrations found at each Disney Resort hotel!

Disney's Art of Animation Resort is sure to their own creepy schedule of entertainment for Halloween night but it appears as though they don't have all of the details available just yet! However, right across Hourglass Lake at Disney's Pop Century Resort, Guests are invited to their "Ghostly Gathering" for a Spooky Not Scary evening of entertainment! The festivities begin with an Ectoplasm event that will lead Guests in creating their own glow-in-the-dark slime from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm. Then, the real party begins at 4:00 pm and will include a DJ-hosted event, a costume showcase, a trick-or-treat parade, and a Ghostly Glow Party! You will then be able to finish your frightful evening off with the Ghostly Gathering Campfire featuring some spooky S'mores. So, you and your family will have quite a few options for entertainment on the evening of Halloween!

For a full breakdown of the schedule at your specific Disney Resort hotel, be sure to stop by the front desk and request a "Resort Experience Guide"! This will give you a glimpse of all the fun things you can participate in throughout your stay!

Have fun continuing to prepare for your vacation to Walt Disney World Resort!
