We are staying at Art of Animation resort in August. We're only going to the water parks, so I was looking for other things to do. Where and when is the electrical water pageant? Are we allowed at a resort we're not staying in to see the pageant?

    Hi Alanna,

There is loads to do at Walt Disney World without ever entering a theme park. As you mentioned, the water parks are great fun. There's also wonderful shopping, dining, and entertainment at Downtown Disney and the Boardwalk area.

Exploring the resorts is a great way to experience Walt Disney World. Anyone is welcome to do so. You're welcome to watch the fireworks or the Electrical Water Pageant from any of the resorts have have viewing access. The normal schedule is:

    Polynesian Resort -- 9 p.m.
    Grand Floridian -- 9:15 p.m.
    Wilderness Lodge -- 9:35 p.m.
    Fort Wilderness -- 9:45 p.m.
    Contemporary Resort -- 10:05 p.m.
Magic Kingdom -- 10:20 p.m. (when the MK is open late)

Please bear in mind that there are many events which could cause this schedule to change including modified park hours or adverse weather conditions. I suggest you have the concierge at Art of Animation confirm the timing before you head over to the resorts.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know if you have additional questions.
