We’re staying at the Art of Animation in January in the standard Little Mermaid rooms. Will we have access to Microwaves and toasters?

Hey there, hi there, ho there, Deborah, and welcome to the most magical place on the internet to answer your Disney vacation planning questions, planDisney.

Disney's Art of Animation Resort places you right in the movie. From drawings of many favorite Disney and Pixar characters by the original artists in Animation Hall to the Elephant Grave Yard and Radiator Springs in their respective sections, this Disney Resorts Collection hotel is a theme park itself.

The Little Mermaid rooms come with a beverage cooler (small refrigerator with no icebox), a coffee maker with coffee and coffee service items like stirrers, cream and sugar, etc, and well as insulated cups. If you want to heat something up then you will travel to Landscape of Flavors where toasters and microwaves are available from 7:00 AM till 11:00 PM daily. Family Suites do come with a kitchenette that includes a microwave.

As recently as March 2024 I know you could request a microwave for your room subject to availability but was told there are only a few at each resort and they may discontinue this option. It never hurts to ask at the front desk or to call Guest Services from your room after Direct-to-Room Service after Online Check-In from home or through the My Disney Expereince Mobile app.

Deborah, I know you are excited to begin the New Year at the "Most Magical Place on Earth." Please feel free to reach out to me directly with any follow-up questions.

    Enjoy making many Magical Memories.
