We are staying at the Art of Animation February 2019. My Husband and I are taking our Daughter, SOn-in-Law and 2 grandchildren! (Whew!) My question is, are any of the pools heated so they can swim that time of year? Thank you!! Nancy

Hi Nancy and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m so happy to see that you have a plan in the works for a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort for next February! As they say, the more, the merrier!

Disney’s Art of Animation Resort is a great place to stay! Their family suites give you lots of room for rest, meals and two bathrooms are a great help when you’re trying to get everyone out the door for a fun-filled day at the theme parks!

You and your crew will have a great time splashing around your resort pool! The Big Blue Pool, inspired by Disney Pixar’s Finding Nemo, is the largest resort pool on Disney property! If that’s not enough, you can enjoy the Cozy Cone Pool, with a fun Disney Pixar Cars theme and the Flippin’ Fins Pool, with a Little Mermaid theme. Just like every Disney Resort hotel pool, the temperature is kept to a comfortable 82 degrees year-round!

Did you know that complimentary life jackets are available for guests of all ages? Just ask a nearby Cast Member for them and they will be happy to get you jackets for all the little ones in your party.

Nancy, your grand kids will have a blast in the pool but if you find it’s a bit too cool for them to take a dip, there are lots of other things to keep them busy at your resort. The Righteous Reef playground can be found in the Finding Nemo Courtyard. You can all view Movies Under the Stars as a family most nights between the Lion King and Finding Nemo building. Just ask the Front Desk for a copy of the movie schedule during the dates of your stay.

I hope this information is helpful! Feel free to come back to see us soon with any additional questions! Have a magical visit!
