Hi! We are staying at Art of Animation in February. My husband is retired military, and we will be purchasing our park tickets from Shades of Green. My question is, will we be able to take advantage of Magic Bands? Thank you!

Hi, Molly!  You will be able to link your Armed Forces Salute or military discounted tickets to your Magic Bands.  You will need to create an account at the Official Walt Disney World website, and set up your My Disney Experience.  If you have your tickets in hand before you go, you just have to put the identification code on the back of the tickets in your My Disney Experience account in order to link the tickets to your Magic Bands through the website.

If you are purchasing your tickets when you get to Walt Disney World, you can either go online via your cell phone or laptop and link them that way, or visit one of the guest services locations to get assistance.

There is some awesome information for military travelers at a website called Military Disney Tips.  There team has just gone through the whole Magic Band testing using Military tickets, and they have great information for those of us using this new technology.

    Have an amazing upcoming trip!
