Hi Kelly! Welcome back to planDisney!
I'm excited about your upcoming holiday to the
Walt Disney World Resort. It seems like you are having a bit of trouble getting a clear answer to your question regarding your Disney Resorts hotel reservation. Let's dive in and try to get this figured out before you are set to arrive for a magical Disney stay.
At
Disney's Art of Animation Resort, all of the Family Suites can sleep up to six adult Guests. This number will include all Guests 3 years of age and older. For example, if you were traveling with three adults and 3 kids (ages 3, 6, and 9), this would be your party of six that will be allowed in your room. However, you are allowed one child under the age of three to be included in your room reservation and not count toward the total of six Guests.
Based on the information you provided in your question, it seems like your infant is turning 2 years old just before you head on your holiday. If you were to add one more adult Guest for a total of six, you should be able to do so since the child is still well under the age of three. I visited the Walt Disney World website to build a sample vacation to test this out, and it let me book a stay at Art of Animation in a Family Suite with six adults and one child under three. Once I changed the child's age to three years old, it informed me that this room type was not available for the party size I selected.
Kelly, I suggest calling the
Disney Resort Hotel Reservations line and speaking to a Cast Member to clarify this. They should be able to provide similar information that I shared in this answer and help you get set up for your upcoming stay.
You've picked one of the
best Disney-themed resorts at Walt Disney World. My family stopped here during a visit a few years ago and had so much fun walking around and taking in the different themed courtyards. My daughters were amazed by the Cars area and ran around there for quite some time. Your little one will have a blast!
See ya real soon!
