WE are staying at Art of Animation in August. Can you tell me if there are safes in each room? Also, where can you order food from to be shipped to your room before arriving and will the resort hold items that need to be refrigerated fro you?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Kelly! I am pleased to let you know that all Disney Resort Hotel guest rooms have a safe within the room. Most feature a digital pad that can be programmed by the guest. The ones at Disney Value Resorts have an inside usable area of 7" x 10" x 2". This is a bit small, so plan on items like passports, wallets, mobile phones, and cash. My daughter was able to get her iPad in there, but not much else! If you have some items that you really would like to be kept in a locked area, stop by the Front Desk and chat with one of the Cast Members there. All of the resorts have a large safe where they can store items upon the guest's request.

I always have grocery items delivered to our Disney Resort Hotel the day we plan to check in and begin our vacation. There are many different ways you can order items, my favorite being through Instacart and a local delivery service, Garden Grocer. If you are a member of Amazon Prime, then Amazon Prime Now is something I recently used and was quite pleased with its service. The way grocery delivery services basically work is that you place the order and then they deliver it to your resort's Bell Services, who will store your cold items in their coolers. Once you are in your room, just give Bell Services a call on your in-room phone and they will bring your order to your room. Note that a fee, currently $6 and subject to change at any time, will be added to your Resort Folio for Bell Services to do so. If you prefer, you can forego the charge by stopping by the Bell Services desk and picking up the items there.

I do want to point out something with using Amazon Prime Now. Make sure you use that version of their delivery services versus just Amazon Prime. If you have a package delivered from Amazon Prime, it will go through Walt Disney World Resort's mail service and take a bit of time to reach your resort's Front Desk. Also, there will be a $6 delivery fee per package (subject to change) added to your Guest Folio for going through the mail service, in addition to that Bell Services delivery fee I mentioned earlier.

Thanks so much for stopping by and please let us know if you have any other questions about grocery delivery or any other part of your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
