We are staying at AofA and plan on one evening meal at Yak & Yeti. we will want to use disney transporation back to our resort. Do we need to be concerned on what time to be done eating so we won't miss out on the bus getting us back.

    Nancy,

Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!

I love the Yak and Yeti Restaurant! While many have enjoyed their counter service options, I still find that the table service restaurant is a bit of a hidden gem in Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park that few know about.

Without knowing the date or time you are dining there, I can share that the official policy is that the bus service from the Animal Kingdom park to the Disney resorts runs until an hour after the posted park closing time. Using today's times as an example, the park closes at 7 pm tonight. That means you would have until about 8 pm before you start to run into issues.

I also looked at today's posted operating time for the restaurant, and it takes reservations until 6:50 pm. So really, as long as you are keeping your dining time to an hour, even if you have that very last reservation of the night, you should be OK.

    BONUS TIP
Let's assume that you have had such an amazing time at dinner (which I am sure you will), that you run long. Step 1 is to ask a Disney Cast Member near the front gate if they can check on the status of the buses to Disney's Art of Animation Resort. Otherwise, you could also enjoy (at a cost, of course) a ride in a Disney Minnie Van Service Connected by Lyft. It would be a nice treat after a lovely meal, right?

Please feel free to write me back directly if you have any follow-up questions.
