    Hi! We are staying at the AoA resort and have reservations to Mickey's Backyard Barbecue on the night we arrive. I've seen recommendations to take the boat from MK to Fort Wilderness, but do I need a ticket to the park to ride the boat? Thanks!

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  We are thrilled you stopped by to ask a vacation planning question today.   All the panelists love to help Guests have the most magical time possible on a vacation at Walt Disney World. 

    You have heard correctly the easiest way to reach Mickey's Backyard BBQ from Disney's Art of Animation Resort is to take a bus to Magic Kingdom.  Once you arrive at Magic Kingdom head toward the front entrance of the theme park.   Instead of turning right to head into bag check, look to your left and you will see the boat launch.   Please take the launch that is head to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground.   You will not need a ticket to the theme park to take the complimentary water taxi, as it's not located inside the theme park . The water taxi ride will take about 20 minutes, so please plan accordingly.  I wouldn't want you to be late to this Character filled hoedown that is packed with fun from the moment you arrive.
