We are staying at AOA 12/5-12/11, 2013. I do realize the Little Mermaid Standard rooms are the furthest from guest services and transportation. Just wondering which room/building numbers we should request to get us as close as possible? Thanks, Mindy

    Hi, Mindy!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question about Disney's Art of Animation Resort. You are visiting at a great time of year! In early December you'll get to enjoy all the wonderful holiday events and decorations in the parks but with much lower crowd levels than are typically found during the two weeks leading up to Christmas.

My family stayed in a Standard Room in The Little Mermaid section of Art of Animation this past December. We really enjoyed the resort, including the fantastic Landscape of Flavors food court and the awesome pools, but it is a bit of a hike from The Little Mermaid rooms to Animation Hall (where the front desk, food court, transportation, shopping and arcade are located). We had a rental car so we found it easiest to just drive to and from Animation Hall from our room, though it is a pleasant walk through The Lion King section.

Follow this link to view an interactive map of Disney's Art of Animation Resort where you'll be able to see all the building locations in relation to Animation Hall. I recommend that you request a room "closest to Animation Hall and transportation." That should definitely do the trick.

Wishing you a magical vacation! Come visit us again here at the Moms Panel with any other questions as you continue to plan your December stay. We are always happy to help!
