    Staying at AOA mid to late Oct 2013. Is the main pool heated?

    All Disney resort pools are heated during the colder times of they year. They are not really cranked up a lot, but enough to take the edge off. 

    From personal experience in October I think you will find that it is rarely necessary. But also you need to know that even when they heat the pools, an unseasonable cold snap can make swimming less that ideal.
