Staying at AOA in Little Mermaid, with 1-yr old daughter and almost 3-year old son. Do you recommend a stroller for my son for around the hotel? Was told it was super long walk around resort. Trying to make a plan about which strollers to bring and rent.

    Hi Kathryn,

Yes. I 100% recommend that you have a stroller available for your son, both at the resort and in the parks.

The center of the Little Mermaid section is approximately 1/4 mile from the main pool and food court. This will take only 4 minutes or so to walk, but this can feel veeeery long at the end of a hot day of park touring. Most folks find that they walk somewhere between 5-10 miles during a typical Disney day. This can be a lot for the legs of preschooler. I used strollers for my own daughters at WDW until they were six years old, well past the time they used them at home.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know what else we can do to help.
