Staying at AoA 12/8-12/16/12 w/ our 8 y/o dd. Will be visiting each of the 4 parks on different days. I understand AoA has dedicated transportation but wondering if it would still be easier to just drive ourselves...would love your opinion? Thanks so much!

Hi, Dawn!  As my kids get older, I find myself relying more and more on the Walt Disney World transportation.  When my kids were really young, I always took my car.  It just made sense with the stroller, diaper bag, and whatever souvenirs or drink cups we accumulated.  But by now, with my youngest being 7, I don't carry as much stuff, and it's much easier to use the transportation.

The only thing to consider is that you may have to wait at the end of a long day for transportation back to your resort.  I know this is meltdown time for some kids, especially if they aren't used to being on the go the whole day.  Even at 8, some kids don't like to change up their schedules much, and waiting for a bus at the end of a long day cuts into some serious bedtime.

I find the transportation to be convenient and easy to use.  I think if you want a quick getaway, or if you bring lots of stuff with you, you may find your own vehicle more comfortable.
