Staying at AOA 3 days in April, then 3 day cruise on Disney Dream. Have ground transport set up from resort to Port Canaveral. When will they pick us up at AOA on check out day? Want to enjoy the pool that morning so hoping not too early...?

Welcome back, Jana! My family and I always add a few extra days of adventure at the Walt Disney World Resort before or after our Disney Cruise Line vacations out of Port Canaveral. It makes for a true surf and turf vacation!

I'm so glad to hear that you've already booked the Disney Cruise Line Ground Transfers from the Art of Animation Resort to Port Canaveral. Letting Mickey and his crew do the driving makes for the easiest transition from land to sea and back again! The night before you set sail, you'll receive a notice in your resort room letting you know the official pick up time for the next morning in the Art of Animation lobby. While I can't give you exact times since that varies based on how many guests will be sailing and which resorts they're enjoying the night before, I can tell you that you'll surely have time to swim that morning! Hooray!

Each time we've used the Ground Transfers to the port from our Disney Resorts, we've had pick up times that range from as early as 11:00 a.m. to as late as 1:00 p.m. So, plan to wake up early, throw those swim suits on and head to The Big Blue Pool, or my kids' favorite, The Cozy Cone Pool!

Your checked luggage will be picked up directly from your resort room and head to the ship earlier than your transfer though, so check your information that you'll receive the night before for exact details. Ours is usually picked up from our room around 8:00 a.m. We always keep day bags with us so we can continue to have fun at the resort and a change of clothes when we swim, so plan on that too! Your luggage will meet you in your stateroom later that afternoon on the ship. It couldn't be easier!

    Have fun planning, Jana!
