We are staying at AoA. We currently have 2 little mermaid rooms booked bc no adults want to sleep on the pull out bed in the suites. My aunt has diabetes and needs to refrigerate insulin. Is this possible in a Mermaid room? Are there adjoining rooms?

    Hi Jennifer!

Great name by the way.   Disney's Art of Animation Resort is one of my favorites.  The colorful courtyards, larger than life characters, and well appointed Guest rooms make it an amazing place for families to enjoy.  You certainly can request that you have adjoining rooms,  you will need to call a Disney Cast Member at (407) 939-1936 and have this request added to your reservation.   Disney can not guarantee you will have adjoining Guest rooms, but they will do their best to fulfill your wishes.

Jennifer, every Guest room at Walt Disney World will come equipped with a mini fridge.   Your Aunt will have no problem storing her insulin in her Guest room.   I do encourage her to bring along a cooling pouch such as a FRIO on vacation to keep her medicine cool while you explore the theme parks.  She can even take her insulin and supplies to the First Aid station at each theme park or water park and they can store it for her while she experiences all the magic Walt Disney World has to offer.   My father has diabetes and we have found that Walt Disney World is one of the most accommodating places to vacation. If you run into any problems or concerns during your  visit please ask a Cast Member for any help you may need.

Please stop by again with any additional questions you may have about your upcoming trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth.
