We are staying at AoA and will have to check out on Sat by 11 but our shuttle is not until 3:30. What to do with the wait time? Is it reasonable to think we could go to Downtown Disney for lunch and shopping...and get back in time? Thank you!!

Welcome to the Moms Panel, Carrie! I enjoyed a lovely stay at Disney's Art of Animation Resort two weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed it! This is a great question! I definitely think a short trip to Downtown Disney on your departure day for a little shopping and dining is a great idea! I would highly recommend enjoying a delicious meal at Wolfgang Puck Express, a quick-service dining location, in Downtown Disney. Complimentary bus transportation is available from Disney's Art of Animation Resort to Downtown Disney and back. I would allow at least 45 minutes travel time one way if utilizing bus transportation. If you do not mind paying cab fare, a taxi would be your quickest method of transportation. I honestly think you should have ample time to visit Downtown Disney.  With that being said, I would personally choose to travel by taxi ensuring more time to explore and enjoy Downtown Disney and less time in transit. I hope this helps! Please feel free to visit me again with any additional questions. Best wishes for a magical trip, Carrie!
    Happy Planning,
