    Hello, we are staying at Animal Kingdom in September. About how long is the bus ride to WDW? This is our first time and I have a 4 & 6 year old. Do you suggest getting a rent car or just taking the bus every where?

    Hi, Amanda! Congratulations on your first trip! Walt Disney World Resort does a great job of moving Guests from one place to another.  I would save the cost of a rental car and just ride the bus.  The ride from Animal Kingdom Lodge to the Magic Kingdom is about 20 minutes.  If you had a car, the initial drive would be a little shorter, but then you have to make the hop from the parking lot to the Magic Kingdom - which would end up taking longer.  You have to take the ferry or the monorail to get to the gates.  On the resort bus, you are dropped off at the front gates.  Happy planning and have a Magical vacation!
