    We are staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge and will be using Magic Bands to charge meals to our room. We have several Disney gift cards. Can I apply these to our room as a credit prior to going out to the parks? I want to avoid charges on our credit card.

    I do this all the time, so yes, you can have your gift cards applied to your resort account. Note that they may try to persuade you not to apply too many of these dollars to your account. They would do this because if you move money over, but do not spend it, they cannot give it back to you on another card. Once it is moved to your resort account you either spend it or lose it.

    But yes, you can do what you suggest, and it is a nice way to make your spending more convenient.
