Hi! Staying 9.4 - 9.14 at Animal Kingdom Lodge. Trying to plan out how we will use our DDP credits (reg DDP). I've heard, but cannot find confirmation that a quick-service credit can be substituted for 2 snack credits? How does this work?

Jambo, Jennifer! Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is one of my family's favorite resorts to stay at while at Walt Disney World Resort. In fact, we are headed there soon to celebrate our younger daughter's birthday! We love to sit on the balcony in the early morning and watch the animals head in to the savanna to begin their day. If you get a chance, make an Advance Dining Reservation to use your Table Service meal entitlements at Sanaa at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village. This dining location features views of the savanna and, if you happen to get a table next to the windows, you may just chance upon some close-up animal encounters!

Jennifer, it does not happen often, but there have been times that we have had extra dining plan credits left over at the end of our vacation. In my experience, we have been able to swap Quick Service entitlements for items designated as snacks. This is entirely up to the Cast Member completing the transaction, but it never hurts to ask if they can do this for you! From what I understand of the 2018 dining plan use, it is possible for guests to swap two snack items for one Quick Service entitlement. This will need to be done during a single transaction at a single dining or merchandise location. Guests frequently do this during one of the many Epcot festivals, such as the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. At those Global Marketplace food and drink kiosks, guests can use a Quick Service entitlement for any two food or drink items that qualify as snack credits. Please note that alcoholic beverages are not snack-credit eligible, so they cannot be ordered when doing a swap.

Thank you so much for stopping by with your question and please let us know if we can help you plan more of your stay!
