Jambo Ashleigh! Welcome to planDisney!
You're in for such a treat when you visit
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge! I had the amazing opportunity to stay here in December and it was absolutely everything I dreamed about and more! From the perfectly pink flamingos just outside my window, to the magnificent Christmas tree in the grand lobby, to the mouth-watering food you can find here, I just have to say it did NOT disappoint! Even the beds were better than I expected. I wish I slept as well at home as I did while visiting the Savanna!
Speaking of beds, you'll be happy to know that Animal Kingdom Lodge does indeed offer bed rails at your request. Not only will your little ones be extra cozy, but you'll be able to sleep better knowing they aren't going anywhere no matter how much they toss and turn. During Animal Kingdom Lodge's latest renovation, the carpeting in the rooms was taken out and replaced with beautifully clean and sleek wood-look flooring. While it matches the decor of the Resort meticulously, I don't think anyone would want to roll out of bed onto it! It's nice to know that when you're visiting
Walt Disney World Resort little needs like this are always taken care of for your little ones.
There are a few ways to request a bed rail, whether you plan to do it before you leave or even when you arrive at the Resort. One way to request the bed rail ahead of time is simply to call a Cast Member directly at the Resort at (407) 939-1936. With your confirmation number they will be able to pull up your reservation and add your request to it. While not guaranteed, Cast Members will always do their best to honor your request.
You also have the option of waiting until you check in to your resort to ask for a bed rail. While bed rails are given out on a first-come, first-serve basis, I've never personally run into trouble waiting. Cast Members at the Front Desk will add your complimentary bed rail to your reservation and it will be brought to your Guest room!
Ashleigh, while you're visiting with your little ones, make sure to check out some of my favorite attractions in
Magic Kingdom Park: Peter Pan's Flight, "it's a small world", and Mad Tea Party! I feel like our vacation just wouldn't be complete without riding these favorites, seeing our pal Mickey Mouse and topping off our evening with a Mickey Premium Bar and fireworks like the new
Disney Enchantment! You're sure to enjoy a magical trip and sleep well knowing your little ones are safely sleeping next to you!
Enjoy the magic!
