    Hi, we are staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge later this month. I want to bring some small microwave snacks/meals for my picky 4 yr old. Are there microwaves in all rooms? mini fridges?

    Hi Athena,

    There are small refrigerators in the rooms at all Disney resort hotels, including the Animal Kingdom Lodge.

    Whether there is a microwave in your room depends on the type of room you booked. There are some rooms at the AKL classified as Disney Vacation Club "studio" rooms. These do have a small kitchenette with a microwave oven. Standard rooms (likely what you've booked unless you specifically requested a studio) do not have microwaves.

    There are microwaves in the Mara food court at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. These are available for guest use whenever the Mara is open (usually 6:00am until 11:00pm). You're welcome to heat anything here; it's not just for items purchased on site. I've often seen guests heating baby food or items for picky eaters in the food court microwaves.
