Welcome to planDisney, Jenny!
Can you believe your Walt Disney World Resort vacation begins
tomorrow??? I'm sure you must be so excited to take part in
The World's Most Magical Celebration!
I think you have made a great choice in planning to dine at
Disney's Yacht Club Resort. Both
Ale & Compass Restaurant and
Yachtsman Steakhouse are excellent choices, and favorites among the planDisney panelists. The most efficient way to travel between
Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas and Disney's Yacht Club Resort is to drive. Guests with confirmed dining reservations are welcome to
park at the resort hotel while enjoying their meal. If you will not have a vehicle with you, you might consider using a ride-share service. Traveling between Disney Resort Hotels using
complimentary resort transportation will often require a transfer. My recommendation would be to take a bus from your resort to
Disney's Hollywood Studios. From there, it is a pleasant 20-minute walk to Disney's Yacht Club Resort. Boat transportation is also available if you prefer not to walk, or you could also take the
Disney Skyliner to the International Gateway station at EPCOT. (Walking is the fastest option.) Allow 90 minutes to reach the restaurant. If you happen to arrive earlier than expected, enjoy some time strolling along the path around Crescent Lake, soaking up views of
Disney's BoardWalk -- it is so beautiful in the evening!
Be sure to check park hours for your return trip. Typically, transportation to Disney Resorts Collection hotels is available up to 90 minutes after park closing. If it is late, you might need to transfer buses at Disney Springs.
Did you know, you can find transportation directions in the
My Disney Experience mobile app? Use the search button on the home screen to type in your destination, and then choose "Get Directions" You'll be able to enter your starting point, and the app will show you what your travel options are.
I hope that helps! If you have any additional questions, please feel free to stop by planDisney again anytime. Enjoy your stay!
