Hi - we are staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge (AKL), but have breakfast with Minnie at Cape May one morning. Please advise how we can get to Cape May using Disney Transportation. Also, is there direct transportation from AKL to the Boardwalk?Thank you.

    Hello Nicole,

Starting a morning, at Walt Disney World, with Minnie and her friends sounds like a practically perfect start to your day. Traveling to Cape May Cafe, located in Disney's Beach Club Resort, and the Boardwalk from Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, via complimentary Disney Transportation will require the same route. While there is no direct transportation to both of your destinations, I recommend boarding a bus to Disney's Hollywood Studios. Disembark, at Disney's Hollywood Studios, and either board one of the Friendship Boats, which trolls Crescent Lake and drops Guests at all the Resorts lining its shores, or take a leisurely stroll on the walk path along the waterway to both destinations.  I would estimate an hour of wait and travel time and if you find you are running out of time taxis are readily available at the front of all Walt Disney World Resorts to take you to your next magical stop.

If I can be of any further pixie dusted assistance feel free to ask and may your upcoming stay at Walt Disney World be filled with many magical and memorable moments.

I am a Dreamer who has always believed dreams are meant to be the path to your future. Walt Disney, I believe, felt the same way, "All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them." Disney has always been proof that endless imagination and the passion to make them come to fruition is possible. I will never be to old for Disney, it is home to all of us Dreamers.
