Staying at Animal Kingdom Kidani Village, May. planning breakfasts/dinners at other resorts before/after park visits. What time do busses start/stop running and do they go to other resorts? Can we drive and park for free at other resorts? Best options?

    Hi Susan!

Welcome to planDisney, a group of Disney enthusiasts eager to help you make the most of your next Disney vacation! You are going to LOVE staying at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas- Kidani Village. It is the most unique resort in Walt Disney World, with incredible views of the animals roaming the savannas, gorgeous theming throughout the resort and villas, and the incredible flavors served up in Sanaa, a quick-service restaurant for breakfast and a table-service restaurant for lunch and dinner. I highly recommend that you consider making a lunch or dinner reservation at Sanaa, where the Indian-style Bread Service is nothing short of extraordinary. Your vacation adventure begins as soon as you step foot into this beautiful resort!

Bus transportation begins 45 minutes before park opening and ends one hour after park closing. Bus transportation does not run from resort to resort, but you will be able to take the bus transportation to a theme park or Disney Springs and then take the bus transportation from that location to another resort. Since your resort is so close to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, you may find it to be the best location to catch a bus to another resort for a dining reservation. This is especially true for breakfast reservations since Disney’s Animal Kingdom typically has an earlier opening time than the other theme parks. You do have the option to drive and park for free at another Disney Resort hotel or Disney Vacation Club Resort as Guests can enjoy complimentary standard self-parking with a dining reservation.

I highly recommend that you consider making resort dining reservations in correspondence with the theme park you plan to visit that day. For example, make any dining reservations at a monorail resort (Disney’s Contemporary Resort and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa) on the same day you plan to visit Magic Kingdom Park. This will allow you to limit the amount of time spent on transportation and maximize your time spent enjoying the parks.

I hope this information helps you make the most of your vacation in The Most Magical Place on Earth this May! Remember, you’ve got a friend in us here at planDisney, so please stop back by any time we can help answer your vacation questions.
