Hey there, Wanda! Welcome to planDisney!
You’re Walt Disney World adventure is right around the corner. [Cue excited yelling and running around] With its 4 theme parks, 2 water parks, and more than 25 Disney Resorts Collection hotels, you are in for a truly magical vacation with your family.
I’m happy to report that many Walt Disney World Resort hotel areas, such as restaurants and beaches, are open to the public. In fact, resort hopping is one of my favorite activities at Walt Disney World because it gives me the chance to do some future trip research and preview different resorts before booking our next (or next, next) Disney vacation. There are certain areas only available to guests of specific resorts, such as pools and tennis courts, though, so make sure you pay attention to resort signage as you explore.
If you plan to enjoy some of the dining options at the resort hotels, I would like to give an enthusiastic recommendation to
Wailulu Bar & Grill at the Polynesian Village Resort’s new Island Tower. My wife and I popped over there on a Magic Kingdom day, and not only did it have an excellent menu, but the views of the Seven Seas Lagoon were beautiful. It was a wonderfully relaxing meal and I can’t wait to go back!
I have great news about your water park plans, Wanda. As a guest of a Walt Disney World Resort hotel you can take advantage of
complimentary water park admissions on your check-in day. Whether you decide to enjoy
Blizzard Beach or
Typhoon Lagoon, both parks’ lazy river experiences provide inner tubes for relaxed floating at no additional charge. Just go to one of the entrances located around the lazy river loop, grab an inner tube, and feel your stress start to melt away
I hope this information helps with your vacation planning. Come right back if you have any other Disney vacation planning questions. You’re as welcome as can be at planDisney!
Magical travels!
Matt
