we are staying at the akl for the first time in july...are the pools good for kids?what does zero entry mean?we are so excited to come and have booked our first dinner at boma is this a good place?we have delux meal plan.

    Hi Angela,

The pools at the Animal Kingdom Lodge are wonderful. They're incredibly well maintained and have loads of features that appeal to children. Zero-entry means that the there is no defined edge of the pool for entrance. You don't have to step down to get in the water, you just walk forward. Think of it like you would the beach, where you walk in and it gets gradually deeper.

Boma is one of my favorite restaurants at Walt Disney World. You've made an excellent choice. This restaurant is particularly great because there are some classic American foods for the cautious eater, but there are also many unique African foods for the adventurous to try. And because it's a buffet, you can go and get just a little spoonful of everything, see if you like it, and then go back for a larger portion of the ones you like best. You're not really committed to something that you're unfamiliar with.

The AKL is truly a special experience. Enjoy!
