Staying AKL CL for half our trip, was planning on AoA LMfor other. Only 400 more to go up to PORS. DS7, DD3. Would you recommend spending the extra $? Have one resort day planned, and hope to do a midday day break for a swim at LEAST once :) thanks!

Hello Laura!   Your kids are going to love Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge!   Whenever I walk into this resort, I am blown away by the amazing artistry  that can be found everywhere you look.   Choosing a resort to follow up such an amazing adventure can be hard, I myself had your same dilemma last week.  I was trying to choose between Disney's Port Orleans Resort-Riverside, and Disney's Art of Animation Resort for the second half of an upcoming trip.   I chose Disney's Art of Animation Resort, because my children simply adore the themeing.

Since your children are younger, I think Art of Animation is a great choice.   Your daughter will adore walking into a room filled with whozits and whatzits galore that the Little Mermaid herself has left from her treasure hunts under the sea.  And your son will love finding all his Radiator Springs friends, and swimming in the Cozy Cone Pool.  Port Orleans Resort-Riverside is beautiful, but since your children are young, the magic of Disney's Art of Animation Resort would win out in my book.  And hey you save some money that you can use on other magical aspects of your vacation.

Laura, you can not go wrong with either resort hotel they are both lovely, and full of Disney magic around each corner.   If you have any other questions while you plan your vacation I would love to continue to help you out.

    Dream as Dreamers Do,
