Stayed in a std room (pool view) at AKL. Room was very small, about 350 sq. feet. Loved this resort. Are the savannah view rooms any larger? allears.net states AKL has deluxe rooms. Which ones are these? Are they larger than standard?

Hi Chris! No matter how many times I stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge I am always awed by the unique and beautiful African safari theme of the resort. The 344-square-feet rooms at the Animal Kingdom Lodge are somewhat smaller than most of the other deluxe resorts. The savannah view rooms aren't any larger than the pool or standard view ones. Prior to the addition of some Disney Vacation Club rooms at Jambo House, the Lodge used to offer an option to book a deluxe room which was a little larger, around 381 square feet. My family has stayed in both deluxe and standard rooms there and the deluxe did feel a little more spacious, but that room type no longer appears on the list of accommodations at Animal Kingdom Lodge.

If you love the resort but need more space, consider staying at the Animal Kingdom Villas Kidani Village. This area of the resort offers one and two bedroom villas with the same amazing views of the savannas.
