I stayed on site last year and received magic bands. This trip we are staying off site and I purchased tickets only and memory maker. Will the tickets and the memory maker be automatically linked to my old magic bands (they are still showing as active)?

Hi Jessica!  We are so glad you stopped by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with another great question.

You are most welcome to reuse your MagicBands from a previous trip.  Any and all active MagicBands (in good working order) linked to your profile will link to the information stored in your My Disney Experience account.  If you have already linked your tickets and your Memory Maker purchase to your account, then you should be good to go!

You can double-check that your tickets and Memory Maker are showing in your account on the My Disney Experience website under "My Plans" and then "Tickets & Memory Maker".

Battery life for MagicBands is estimated to be about 2 years.  I thought I would mention that recently I did reuse a MagicBand that was not quite 2 years old, and although I had no trouble with using it at touchpoints, I realized that my attraction photos were not automatically linking to my account.  After you ride your first attraction that offers Disney PhotoPass, take a look at "My Photos" using the My Disney Experience mobile app to be sure your attraction photos have linked to your account.  If not, you may wish to consider purchasing a new MagicBand.

Have a wonderful visit, Jessica!  Please stop by the Moms Panel again anytime with any additional questions you may have.  We are always happy to help.
