Hi, Diane! Welcome to the
Disney Parks Moms Panel! It's so great to find your question! I just came back from a stay at Disney's Pop Century Resort! I had not stayed in this
Disney Resort Hotel in a long time and I was really pleased to see that the refurbishments have turned this hotel into an even better option on Disney property!
Before this recent stay, I had not called
Disney's Pop Century Resort my home in years so I didn't get to take advantage of that sundae and ice-cream station you mentioned above. They do have ice cream options such as the Mickey Bar, the Mickey ear shaped ice-cream cookie as well as the fruit flavored ice pops in a freezer in the back of the Food Court area. They also had a big variety of cupcakes, fruit cups, parfaits, pastries, etc. Even though that sundae section is apparently not available anymore, you will have a wide variety of yummy items to choose from, Diane!
I found the food court hours of operation to be extremely convenient, opening at 6:00 am and closing at midnight. We were able to warm up some milk for my dad and grab some hot chocolate before going to bed. The wide variety of items found on the
menu made it easy to keep everyone satisfied.
The best aspect of all, though, was resort transportation. We didn't have to wait long at all because buses came within a few minutes (much less than the usual 20) of each other! After the
Happily Ever After fireworks at
Magic Kingdom Park one night, we were gladly surprised to see that two buses came to pick us up at the same time! Getting back to the resort was super easy!
Diane, I hope this information is helpful in your planning. Please come back with more questions; we love to help!
