In 2007 we stayed at the Polynesian with our 4 children, our youngest was only 2 so she slept in a pack n' play and we had a standard room. We loved the view, the monorail access- everything! What are our options for the same benefits now with 6 of us?

With a party of six, being on a monorail line is important to you, then you really only have two choices: get two connecting standard rooms or get a suite. Both are available at all the monorail hotel. For suite availability and pricing, you'll need to contact Disney reservations at 407-W-DISNEY.

If you're willing to forgo the monorail but still want to be in the Magic Kingdom area, you have some more options to consider. The cabins at Fort Wilderness are a great space for larger families. The cabins have a bedroom with a double bed and twin bunk beds. The living room has a pull-down Murphy bed, which brings the total to six that can sleep there comfortably. Additionally, there is a full kitchen and loads of outdoor space for the kids to run around.

If the camping atmosphere is not your thing, then you can get a similar amount of space by staying at the Wilderness Lodge villas, plus you get all the advantages and amenities of staying at a deluxe resort. At the Wilderness Lodge, there are one-bedroom villas which sleep up to six people in two rooms or two-bedroom villas that sleep up to eight people in three rooms. These are really like small apartments and include all the comforts of home including a full kitchen and washer/dryer. Regular readers of this panel will know that I am not a fan of doing chores while on vacation, but having the in-room laundry actually makes life with small kids much easier. There are also villas at the Boardwalk, Beach Club, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Old Key West, and Saratoga Springs.
