Stayed at Poly last time, was looking to save 1,000 by staying in a moderate this time but when I saw the size of the rooms on youtube I am second guessing myself. It looks like you can barely move in the standard Caribbean rooms, had anyone had problems?

Hi, Michele!  The rooms at the moderate resorts generally run around 314 square feet.  If you are used to the size of the rooms at the Polynesian, you will find that there is a noticeable difference.  The rooms at the Polynesian are in the 400 square foot range.

Before we became Disney Vacation Club members, we usually stayed wherever we could get the best rate, and sometimes that led us to the moderate resorts.  There are five of us, so when my youngest was still very young, we would have her in a pack and play in addition to the other two girls and their things with us.  We were never uncomfortable or cramped, but over the years, I have become an expert packer, and generally try not to bring too many things that will add clutter to a room.

If you want to save some money and still get a deluxe resort feel, you might look into the Wilderness Lodge or Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge.  The rooms there are deluxe room size and feel, but you often find rooms there priced a little bit lower than the deluxe resorts that have monorail convenience.  We love both of them, and even without easy access to the monorail, the resorts are two of our favorites.

I hope you have a wonderful vacation!
