    Hi, we have stayed in Fort Wilderness Campground before in loop 700 but we're wondering how loop 1700 is? We weren't wanting quite the hustle and bustle of close to the lake and didn't want to be near the swampy areas.We are coming in October. Thanks!

    Hi Sherrie!

    My family, friends and I had a wonderful stay at Disney's Fort Wilderness Campground last year and we absolutely loved it!  The ambiance of the resort, the rustic feel to the cabins, and the live animals (as my kids shrieked when they saw a deer) are all reasons why we will be booking our next stay there!

    Loop 1700 is located on the first right off the main Fort Wilderness Trail.  It is a very nice and quiet area, located just a hop, skip and jump from the Meadows Depot, where you can take a great dip in the pool, or grab some sundries and snacks at the store here.  Loop 1700 is quiet enough that you won't be hearing all the hullabaloo from the folks in the pool, but close enough to the main road when you want to mosey on out of FW or head over to the Outpost!

    Don't forget to take a gander at the fantastic Halloween decorations the patrons of Fort Wilderness put up each year!
