Have stayed at CS and POFQ before. I would really like to try the WL, but DH is not a fan of walking 10+ min to the bus/boat. Can you give some layout details of WL? I would also like bunk bed for young boys, what are those rooms close to? Details please!

    Hi!

I can totally endorse the Wilderness Lodge! It is my absolute favorite resort anywhere in the world!

The lodge itself is basically shaped like a large U, with the lobby being at the base of the U. Each arm of the lodge has a variety of guest room configurations. Personally, I feel that those on the left side (north side, if you're planning on making a room request) are closest to the boat launch and quick service restaurant.

If you're used to the other resorts, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at the layout and size of the Wilderness Lodge. I think its more compact than most other resorts, and everything is a short walk away. The boat launch is, perhaps, a 10 minute stroll from the furthest rooms, but even less for closer areas of the lodge. PLUS - the short boat ride to the Magic Kingdom is an absolute asset! Its so quick and convenient and is rarely crowded. Its also nice to have a non-bus option for some of your transportation.

We enjoy the lodge so much that we even schedule extra non-park time just to enjoy the activities there!!

Hope you have a great trip AND enjoy the lodge!
