    We stayed at Coronado last xmas & loved it. We r going bk next xmas & are thinking about port orleans-french qt. Only thing is we live an hr from new Orleans. will this feel too much like home? Can you tell me your view on which is better and why?

    Congratulations on your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World!

    While I think that Port Orleans is a lovely resort, I personally love Coronado Springs Resort the best for several reasons:

    1. This is the only moderate resort with a full fitness facility on-site. La Vida Health Club has a great selection of treadmills, ellipticals, weights and more! I took full advantage of this facilitiy when I stayed there.

    2. Not only does La Vida Health Club have fitness equipment, but they also have a full spa, with offerings including massage, facials and hair salon. 

    3. If you get tired of working out in the gym, you can jog around the .75 mile jogging trail that surrounds Lago Dorado, the .22 acre lake.

    4. The food at Pepper Market is superb! The selection is great and the food is delish.

    5. The Mayan themed pool is out of this world! Not only do my kids love playing in the pool with the huge pyramid and slides, but I enjoy relaxing in Walt Disney World's largest outdoor hot tub.

    6. In addition to the Mayan themed pool, there is a quiet pool by La Vida Health Club. I loved swimming laps in this pool in the early morning before most guests were even awake.

    7. I love the beautiful decor of the rooms. The simple white comforter with understated, elegant Mickey Mouse features is just my style!

    I hope you have a magical vacation no matter what resort you choose!
