My DH & I have stayed @AKL twice & planning to take our niece (14) 4or5 days Feb or March 2013. Want to try another resort-would AOA,maybe LK Suite, be a good choice?Any advice to her parents on how to approach taking her out of school for the tri

Hi, Donna!  The Art of Animation Resort is a great option for a family suite.  You'll have extra space, an extra bathroom, and a microwave and refrigerator, which comes in handy for breakfasts and snacks.

Art of Animation is a value resort, so the amenities will be a bit different than those you'll find at the deluxe Animal Kingdom Lodge.  There aren't any table service restaurants, but the food court is quite nice.  With the suite, you'll have a good amount of space, so you won't see much difference there.  I think it's a great way to experience a value resort.

As for taking your niece out of school, I'm the queen of letters to the teacher!  I've always touted the educational benefits of Walt Disney World.  Both EPCOT and Animal Kingdom are excellent classrooms, and some teachers I've encountered have been eager to see what my girls have learned on trips to Walt Disney World.  I also praise the value of spending time with family with some school administrators.  With the hectic lives many people lead, you sometimes have to take the time to spend together when you can get it!

    Have a great vacation!
