Hi Elizabeth!
A staycation at
Disney's Boardwalk Villas sounds amazing! I absolutely adore Disney's Boardwalk area! Typically, you can rent
Surrey Bikes to bike around the Boardwalk area. However, given the
enhanced health and safety protocols, the Surrey Bikes are temporarily unavailable. This is subject to change prior to your trip, so keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for updates on returning experiences.
You can still rent a
bike at eight Walt Disney World Resort Hotels. You can check out the
listing of all eight resorts that offer this recreational activity. The good news is that you do not need to be a resort Guest to enjoy this experience. My favorite place to rent a bike is at
The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort has a one-mile bike trail that is loads of fun. There are also several paths at the resort that are shared with walkers and bikers. These paths are well-lit and wide so they are safe and there is plenty of room. There are even some off-road dirt trails you can explore at this resort.
I love being active on vacation, so I have a few tips for other
sport and recreation activities for your staycation. If you like golf, you are in luck because Disney has both
miniature golf and gorgeous golf courses, such as
Disney's Magnolia Golf Course. There is a also a
FootGolf Trail course at Disney's Oak Trail. I also love the
archery experience at The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort.
And while you are staying in the
Boardwalk area, don't miss dining at Flying Fish! The food there is out of this world!
I hope you have a wonderful staycation at the most magical place in the world!
Magically,
Stacy
