I want to stay at a WDW hotel that has a lot of fun features, especially pools. I have a toddler, but the rest of my party are adults. Which hotel do you recommend?

Hi Danielle! Thank you for bringing your question to planDisney!

To me, there is no better way to maximize the magic of a Walt Disney World Resort vacation than to plan to stay right on property in a Disney Resorts Collection hotel. When you stay in a Disney Resort you get amazing benefits like complimentary transportation all over the more than 40 square miles of the Resort, Early Theme Park Entry, where you and your family can enter each and every Theme Park 30 minutes early each day, the unexpected perk of possibly running into some of your favorite Characters and being as close as possible to the Theme Parks, Water Parks and more!  If you can't tell, I'm a Resort enthusiast, and I'd love to help you and your family choose a practically perfect place to stay while you're visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth.

While any Disney Resort is BIG on extras, I have a few suggestions! Walt Disney World Resorts are placed into three categories, Value, Moderate, and Deluxe. I'm happy to suggest choices from each category but encourage you to check out the Disney Resort Hotels Pocket Guides that can be found in the Panel Extras section of the planDisney website. Here, you'll be able to learn more about all of the incredible Resorts on property!

Depending on the size of your party you may be interested in staying in a Guest room or Family Suite at Disney's Art of Animation Resort.  The Family Suites comfortably sleep up to six adults and have separate rooms in case you're looking for a quiet place to lay your toddler down.  They also include a kitchenette and access to the stunning Big Blue Pool.  The Big Blue Pool and Schoolyard Spraygound, along with the over-the-top Disney movie theming, are sure to keep everyone in your party, especially your little one, happy throughout your entire visit.

Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort is a Moderate Resort located directly on the Disney Skyliner line, making it just a hop, skip, and short flight away from both EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios.  If you're hoping to scoot back to the Resort for a midday nap and dip, this Resort couldn't be in a better location.  You'll also feel like you've won the vacation lottery as staying at this Resort gives you almost immediate access to Theme Parks while also making it feel like you're on a beach vacation! Check out Sebastian's Bistro for a toddler-friendly, family-style dinner right at your Resort.  Do note that the Skyliner will be closed for refurbishment from January 22-29, but complimentary bus service will still be available.

If you're ready to stay in the lap of luxury check out Disney's Yacht Club or Disney's Beach Club Resort.  These Resorts are within walking distance of EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios, are steps from the Disney Skyliner, and are in the EPCOT Resort area, meaning you're just a quick walk or boat ride away from the entertainment and dining options at Disney's BoardWalk.  It is also well known that Stormalong Bay, the pool area of the Resort is like a miniature water park, with a sand-bottomed pool, waterslides, and even its own lazy river!

Whatever you decide, I'm sure it will be the best vacation ever!

Hi All, I'm Ashley! From the very beginning Walt Disney World Resort has always been a part of my life. As a child I excitedly helped to plan family trips, as a young adult I planned our "happily ever after" right on Disney property, and now I'm lucky enough to plan magical vacations for my three incredible children. When we're not taking in the enchanting experiences of the parks, we're home in Massachusetts, probably planning our next trip! Learn More About Ashley
