If you stay at shades of green can you still get the dining plan?

    Hi Ami-Beth!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  I am so happy to see you are planning another magical visit to the Walt Disney World Resort.  I hope you have a wonderful time when you visit this Fall.  I would also like to thank your family for your service to our Country.

One of my good Moms Panel friends is a part of a military family so I went straight to the source and asked her this question.   She gave me a great answer for you. She informed me that Shades of Green is located on Walt Disney World Resort property, but is not owned by Walt Disney World.  This hotel is actually owned by the Department of Defense.  Since it is not a Disney Owned Resort you would not be able to add one of the Disney Dining Plans to your stay.   Ami-Beth, I would consider looking into the military Disney Resort Hotel rates,   with these rates you could add on the Disney Dining Plan if you also purchase military theme park tickets.   This may be an option if you really want to take advantage of the flexibility of one of the Disney Dining Plans.

I hope this has helped answer your inquiry.  If you think of anything we can assist you with, please let us know.  Helping out a fellow Guest is what we enjoy most.
