    We will be stay at Saratoga Springs in August. Originally, our trip was planned for May but we experienced a death in the family. Will we get new Magic Bands or do we just use the ones that we sent to us for our original vacation?

    Hello Stefen!

    I am sorry that your family experienced a loss so recently. How nice though, that you will still be able to vacation this summer.  I’ve not encountered this exact situation before, but I do believe you will receive a second set of Magic Bands. Since you have a new and different reservation number, it is that new reservation number that will trigger the creation of the Magic Bands. If you log-in to your My Disney Experience account and choose Magic Bands and Cards, you should see the different Magic Bands that are associated with each member of your group. You are welcome to customize them and have them shipped to you, as you did for the May reservation.

    Magic Bands are interchangeable however, so if you wish to bring and use your Magic Bands from your scheduled May reservation, they should still work for your upcoming August trip. If you have Magic Bands waiting to be customized for the August reservation, but do not customize them, then basic grey bands will be waiting for you when you check-in to your resort. You can take them if you wish, or if you brought your Magic Bands from home, you can decline the new bands. It’s completely up to your preference!
