If I stay at 2 resorts during one trip, do I need to transfer my luggage or will disney do that for me?? How do I get from my resort to the new resort?

I've done this several times myself and found it very straightforward and efficient.

All you need to do is take your bags to luggage services in the morning and let them know to which resort they should send the bags.  They should arrive by approximately 3 pm at the second resort, but sometimes it takes longer.  To be safe, assume they won't arrive until around 6 pm.  They will probably be delivered to your room, but be sure to check with your second resort regarding their typical procedure with transferred bags.

Regarding how to get from resort to resort, the best way to handle this is to go from your original resort to a theme park in the morning using Disney transportation (bus/boat/monorail) and then use Disney transportation to your new resort when you are ready to leave the park later in the day.

If for some reason you want to go directly to your new resort in the morning (be aware that your new room will most likely NOT be ready until the afternoon) you may need to transfer at one of the parks, since most of the resorts do not have direct transportation between them.

    Hope that helps.
