We would like to stay at a resort prior to doing Galactic Starship. Will we be allowed to stay at the resort between check out and boarding? Also, is it possible to have luggage moved for us?

    Good Passage, Jason!

I'm so glad you've found your way to planDisney.  Thanks for stopping by with your question.  When my family visits Walt Disney World Resort, we love splitting our time between two different Resorts because it almost feels like getting two vacations in one.  But you're definitely taking the split-stay game to the next level –– with a chance to enjoy a Disney Resorts Collection hotel and an adventure aboard the Halcyon starcruiser, I have a feeling your upcoming vacation is truly going to be out of this world!

Since you'll be moving around during your visit, let me share a few details about what you can expect on the day you transfer to Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser. After checking out, you're welcome to stick around and enjoy everything the Resort has to offer.  In my opinion, this is the perfect time to make an advance dining reservation for a leisurely breakfast, followed by a few hours relaxing by the pool –– that way, you'll be well rested before you head off to a galaxy far, far away.  Once it's time to make your way to the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser Terminal, transportation will be provided for you since you're transferring from a Disney Resorts Collection hotel.

As preparations for your voyage are already underway, it probably comes as no surprise to you that interstellar luggage transfers can be a little more complicated than they are here on Earth.  For that reason, the Chandrila Star Line requires that passengers bring their own luggage with them when they board the ship.  Don't worry, though –– you'll be able to easily bring your luggage along with you when you leave your first Resort.  Once aboard, my fellow Panelist, Michelle D., recommends that you take advantage of all the storage space in your cabin to stow your luggage.  You'll find plenty of storage under the bed, which is especially useful for larger bags that you might not use during your voyage, while the verticle storage under your viewpoint is great for easily accessing the bags you'll be using most during your adventure.

Again, thanks for visiting planDisney, Jason.  I hope this helped to answer your question, but if you think of anything else as your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort visit approaches, I hope you'll stop by again –– we're always happy to help!

    Clear Skies,
    Amy
