Hi, we start our Disney holiday at the Star Wars Halcyon, we will then move to the Grand Floridian for the remainder. Will we be able to drop our main luggage at the Grand Floridian a few days early so that we can take minimal luggage on the halcyon? Liz

Good Passage, Elizabeth! You have found your fellow Jedi here at planDisney. The Force is strong with you!

I'm so excited to hear that you'll be headed on the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser this August! My husband and I were fortunate enough to voyage on the Halcyon starcruiser earlier this year and I can tell you that you're truly in for an out-of-this-world experience.

Elizabeth, I completely understand the desire to bring only what's necessary aboard the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser. I know this isn't the answer you're looking for, but unfortunately, there isn't an opportunity to drop your luggage at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa a few days early. However, have no fear! I'm happy to let you know that there is ample storage in your cabin while staying on the Halcyon starcruiser. Just like an actual cruise stateroom, there will be plenty of space under the bed in your cabin!

My best tip is to pack your essentials in your personal bag, then pack some luggage specifically for the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser. Keep the luggage for the rest of your trip in separate bags which you can easily store under your bed for safekeeping. Then, use the vertical storage and space under your viewport to keep the luggage you'd like to use during your voyage. However, if you happen to feel like your bags are taking up more room than you feel comfortable with, reach out to a Crew Member on the ship for some alternate solutions.

I have a few more tips for you to make the most out of this upcoming adventure! First, make sure that you take some time to explore the ship once you board. You'll also want to make sure that you download the Play Disney Parks app on your datapad (also known as your "phone" on your home planet). Stopping by the Sublight Lounge is always a good idea - trust me! Also, if you'd like to make the most out of your Star Wars story, I'd recommend spending some of your extra free time in the Atrium. You'll meet interesting characters, have intriguing conversations, and you may even be invited on a secret mission or two. And Elizabeth, don't wait for the action to come to you! So many opportunities can open up just by introducing yourself to a Crew Member or character, or by asking, "How can I help?" Jedi or Sith, rebel or First Order - you get to choose your own adventure!

As they say on the Halcyon starcruiser, "Ta'bu e tay!" Cherish the moment! And may the Force be with you.

    Clear Skies!
