we want to stay at POR the next time we come, we would like a ground floor - king bed room. Do we request that when we make our reservations? Are the king rooms much bigger than the rest of the regular rooms? Are they hard to come by? TY & this is grea

    Hello Judy,

Disney's Port Orleans Resort- French Quarter and Riverside are both top on my moderate resort choices. With their well designed architecture and gorgeously landscaped surroundings, you will begin to question if you are even at Walt Disney World or perhaps truly made a stop in New Orleans. But with some strategically designed hidden mickeys and whimsical Disney touches seen throughout the resort, rest assured you are at Walt Disney World.

When it comes to room requests or preferences, at Walt Disney World, it is best to make them known at the time of your reservation and keep them reasonable, as yours are. I recommend calling Disney's Reservation line, when you decide to book, and make your requests known then. Please know, these are just requests and Disney can not guarantee them but will do their best to accommodate. I, also, suggest calling the resort about four days before your arrival to confirm your requests are noted. Like I tell my children, kindness will get you far so turn on that Disney magic when speaking to the Cast Member and maybe some Disney magic will be sprinkled upon your request.

Enjoy planning your upcoming stay at Walt Disney World and continue to visit us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel for any further pixie dusted assistance.

Meet the Panelist: Amy, Virginia

I am a Dreamer who has always believed dreams are meant to be the path to your future. Walt Disney, I believe, felt the same way, "All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them." Disney has always been proof that endless imagination and the passion to make them come to fruition is possible. I will never be to old for Disney, it is home to all of us Dreamers.
