I would like to stay at the poly with DH and 2 boys 10&13. Convince me that it is worth the money. Hubby stayed at WL and liked it , but thought it was expensive. What are the room like, what can you do, and it the theme really worth the extra$. Th

    Hey Joanne!

Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is one of my favorite resort at Walt Disney World. Not only do I love the South Seas motif, I love the amenities available.

I find that the amenities make this resort well worth the cost. Some of the amenities which make this resort so attractive are:
    • Transportation - Guests are able to take advantage of buses, boats and monorails to get around property. Buses are available to Disney's Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, Downtown Disney and the water parks. Boat and monorail service is available for trips to Magic Kingdom. For Epcot, you need to transfer monorails at the Ticket & Transportation Center (TTC). A great transportation tip we like to take advantage of when staying at the Polynesian is when traveling to Epcot, it's actually easier, and quicker, to walk to the TTC and jump directly on the Epcot monorail.
    • Dining - 'Ohaha, Kona Café and Captain Cook's are all fantastic dining options. And one of my favorite parts: The Polynesian is the only resort where you can get a Dole Whip!
    • Entertainment - Movies Under the Stars, evening s'more roasts, beach viewing of Wishes and home of Disney's Spirit of Aloha Luau dinner show.
    • Rooms - Being on the Seven Seas Lagoon, you have the option of getting a room with a view of the Magic Kingdom. Imagine watching Wishes from your room!

I hope this gives you everything you need to convince your hubby to stay at this fabulous resort. If you have any other questions please come back and see.

Wishing you a *MAGICAL* vacation and a pixie-dusted day!
