Hi! We are going to stay at Old Key West. Are there any gluten free grab & go breakfast options?

    Welcome back to planDisney, Christina!

It sounds like you have a relaxing island getaway ahead at Disney’s Old Key West Resort! The laid-back vibe, pastel colors, and palm trees always make me feel like I’m somewhere much more tropical than Central Florida. And with that giant sandcastle waterslide at the pool, I wouldn’t blame you if you never wanted to leave the resort!

Now, let’s talk gluten-free breakfast options. Good’s Food to Go, the resort’s quick-service spot, does offer some gluten-free modifications, but since it’s a walk-up location with a limited menu, special dietary requests may need to be prepared upon arrival rather than being grab-and-go. This can take a little extra time, so keep that in mind if you’re on a tight schedule.

A better option might be Olivia’s Café, where you can now use Mobile Order To Go through the My Disney Experience app. Their gluten-free brunch menu includes items like omelets, scrambled eggs, and even Mickey Waffles (and yes, the banana-rum syrup is gluten-free and delicious with waffles). Ordering ahead allows you to select a time that works for you, making it a more convenient choice while still giving you access to freshly prepared allergy-friendly meals.

When using the My Disney Experience app, start by tapping on the "Order Food" tile and selecting Olivia’s Café To Go. As you browse the menu, scroll down to find the Allergy-Friendly section, then select Gluten/Wheat Allergy-Friendly to see all available options. Once you’ve placed your order and chosen an arrival window, a Cast Member will confirm your special dietary request upon pickup to ensure your meal is prepared safely.

And if you’re up for a little adventure, don’t forget that Disney Springs is just a short boat ride away, with plenty of gluten-free-friendly dining spots, including Erin McKenna’s Bakery, which specializes in treats that are free from gluten, dairy, eggs, and soy.

I hope this helps you plan a delicious start to your mornings at Old Key West! Wishing you a vacation filled with relaxing island vibes and plenty of pixie dust!
