We would like to stay and see the fireworks show but do not like leaving in the crowds. Is there a way to avoid all those people leaving at the same time

    Hiya Regina,

It is great to see you back at planDisney. It sounds like you are planning a fantastic Walt Disney World Resort vacation. There are so many new and exciting things to see and enjoy including the new EPCOT attraction, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. You will team up with the Guardians gang as you race through space to save the galaxy. It is out of this world!

While we absolutely love seeing the evening fireworks shows, dealing with the crowds afterwards is something we prefer to avoid. The good news is there are options to help with this problem. The first is planning in advance where you would like to watch from and consider areas that are away from the main viewing areas. For example, we enjoy watching Disney Enchantment from one of the adjacent lands, like Liberty Square, instead of Main Street U.S.A. The crowds are lighter and there is more room to move around. This also allows us to sit for a little while after the show ends and then leisurely make our way towards the front of the theme park behind the majority of the crowd. If you are staying at one of the EPCOT Deluxe Disney Resorts, a great spot to watch Harmonious is on the bridge in between England and France. Following the end of the show, you will be able to exit the theme park through the International Gateway. Remember, you do not have to exit immediately after the show. Therefore, feel free to hang back and wait for the crowd to ease before leaving. This is a great time to take some photos or to find a bench and enjoy one last snack.

You can also consider watching the show from outside the theme park itself. If you happen to be staying at a Magic Kingdom Deluxe Resort, there are a number of spots at your resort where you can watch the fireworks from the comfort of your own resort. The bridge outside the International Gateway is a great viewing location when staying at a EPCOT Deluxe Resort. One last option is to select from the Enchanting Extras Collection for your viewing pleasure. There are a number of special parties or events that include delicious desserts as well as reserved seating for the fireworks.

I hope one of these will help you enjoy the show and work around the crowds. If I can help with any additional planning questions, please stop back and see me

Hope to see ya real soon,
    Margaret
