    do you have to stay at a Disney world resort to use the magic bands. and do they die or do i need to put batteries in them I had mine from 2 yrs ago

    Hi Martha,

    MagicBands just makes a vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort more magical!

    The batteries on the MagicBand lasts about two years and you cannot replace the battery. When you stay at a Walt Disney World Resort, you receive a free MagicBand for you to use. If you are staying off property, you can use a previous MagicBand or you can purchase one at the parks or online at the Disney Store. If you are not staying on property, you will not be able to charge on your MagicBand but the other features will work.
